Wind energy feeds a spectrum of waves. A GPU Fourier transform combines those waves into a moving surface; reflected light reveals its shape.
Wind speed changes the energy and wavelength distribution. Direction turns the prevailing wind. Water patch changes the real-world area represented by this table. Crest sharpness adds horizontal displacement, making pointed crests.
Try Gentle, then Open sea. Pause to examine a crest; Step advances by 1/30 second. Drag on the water or focus it and use arrows to orbit. Reset view restores the camera. Settings are temporary. This is a visual experiment, not a sea-state forecast. Desktop WebGL with floating-point textures recommended.
